True Weight Loss Diet

Control your portion size – If you had a mother who always told you that you HAD to clear your plate, you may not likely ever leaving food on a plate, but if you want to start a winning weight diet, you are going to have to learn that sometimes you have to.  Restaurants, in particular fast food, historically give you large a portion size because they are competing for best value, not your health.

Small meals, all day- You can still have a decent amount of food, but if you spread that doggie bag to last you through two meals, you will actually be helping your waistline out.  Small meals throughout the day boost your metabolism without leaving you low on energy.  You may be surprised to find out if you start eating healthy snacks, you really are satisfied with just a little rather than a lot.

Don’t skip meals- It may be tempting at first to want to skip a meal, so that you reach your diet goals faster, but actually, starving yourself will only lower our metabolism and slow down the efforts of your weight loss diet.

More greens and whole grains- If you want to be one of those people who can eat anything they want, and still lose weight, you are going to have learn the joys of veggies and whole grains. An unprocessed diet is actually good for our body’s overall, so if you are a nervous eater, pack some carrots and celery and you can munch all day without gaining that unwanted extra pounds.
Fiber- Fiber is heavier in content and will take longer to digest.  The reason why you want to include fiber into your weight loss diet is because it will make you stomach feel full longer thus decreasing your cravings for other foods that may be counterproductive to your over all diet.
